Introducing BetterHomePortal.com

Welcome to BetterHomePortal.com, which I hope will very soon become one of your favorite source of information on the net for all your Home Improvement needs.

For the moment, the site gravitates around a spam-free and organized version of the very popular alt.home.repair usenet newsgroup.   We have created a web-based interface that allows you to participate to the group without the need to use a usenet client.  Be aware though that like all other usenet newsgroups, alt.repair isn't moderated, although we try to keep spam and offensive posts out of our archives.

We are also very proud of the Books section,  which currently lists more than 150 of the best books related to home improvement.  By default, the books with the highest ratings are showed first, but you can also choose to sort them to see the best selling books (on Amazon.com) first.

Next on our todo list is a section where we will aggregate some of the best home improvement related videos on Youtube.
